The BioTek Cytation 1 cell imaging multimode reader combines fluorescence and high contrast brightfield imaging with conventional multimode detection (UV-Vis absorbance) providing both quantitative phenotypic cellular data with well-based quantitative data.

It enables cell counting to be performed in a label-free manner for use in applications such as proliferation or normalization.
